It was Nov 1994:Together with my mama Fely,we took a Bachelor Express bus from Montevista,Davao del Norte(now ComVal)to Tacloban Ciy via Lipata Port,Surigao City..Left for Liloan Port,Southern Leyte that took 3.5 hours voyage in Sogod Bay..We departed the Waray-speaking Liloan for a night roadtrip to Tacloban City..Finally,for almost 4 hours of travelling the 295km-stretch of dark and landslide-prone Maharlika National Highway,we arrived at the historic City of Tacloban past midnight..We slept at their bus terminal before moving to my elder sisters boarding house the following morning..
