I congratulate you for this immense photo collection. A Philippine pictorial. Born & raised in Baguio. Pristine American city then in the 50's. Now overcrowded. Try to see its former beauty at John Hay, Country Club,PMA, Santo Tomas or Dominican Hill. Summer Capital and City of Pines (and its flower Ever Lasting)and proud of it.

Pictures you have taken were far beautifulthan what I saw when I went home , Nov, 2009 I"m from Baguio City and I lost the much, much more beautiful Baguio that I knew.Pine clad, pine scent , green beautiful and majestic mopuntains without houses and too many Kpreans and muslims. Where are the igorots, my co-igoys ? I'm sad but civilization there was really disturbed. Even Camp John Hay, the vacation and recreatiional respite of the American Military men and women is not as beautiful as then.. but as I said you did shot better scenes than what I have actually seen. Thasnk you for them.

I've been to this place last year. I was very excited while I was riding in a bus thinking that the place is really amazing, but when I arrived there, the place was very nasty! trash everywhere beside the curvy and narrow road, what's that? that place is not presentable for the visitors. My long tiring travel there was not worthy. Better improve the area, the cleanliness of the city to make it presentable to all visitors.

I came to U.S. when I was a teenager and spent my adult life here.the Place where i live right now is the central of all of United State of America and the weather here is very unprodectible it could be nice in one hour and realy bad the next.

I was stationed at Clark Air Force Base when I was in the U.S. Army from Feb '64 to Feb '66. Spent my 2nd year sharing a weekend house in Baguio at 64 Kennon Road. I loved the city and got to know a number of wonderful people. Especially Nick Jonson, a cab driver who lived someplace in Sanitary Camp with his two children. I'm sure he has passed on by now but he still lives in my heart, as does the wonderful city of Baguio. Thank you for the site and the pictures. It has changed a lot but I still recognize Session Road -- our landlord owned a radio shop a few doors up from the Pines.

I need help from baguio residents. I was offered a piece of land located at Irisan. I heard that baguio dumpsite is located at irisan. My realtor said the mountain house projects which they're selling is on the other side of Irisan dumpsite. Please help me find out the real score on this project. I was told that it has a nice view, i'm not even sure if this thing is legitimate and not a scam. Please, if anybody from this place knows about this..do help ma naman. Twas really the grandest time of my vacation staying in Baguio and seeing my daughter Abby off to college at SLU last May 2009. I had the chance to roam around Magsaysay and Bonifacio together with Nanay and Gian my pamangkin as well as a boat trip at Burnham Park. Been also to the Grotto and Baguio cathedral. Looking forward to visit again next year

Twas really the grandest time of my vacation staying in baguio last May 2009 and seeing my daughter off to college at SLU. Had a chance to roam around Magsaysay and Bonifacio with Nanay and Gian my pamangkin. Also went to the Grotto, the Baguio Cathedral and a boat trip at the Burnham Park. Looking forward to come back next year.

I have been to Baguio 8 times between April, 2005 and December, 2008. I love the city and its surroundings. Although there is not much to do there after one or two visits, I never got tired of the place. Just strolling up and down the Sessions Road and around the lake in Burnham Park have been the most enjoying.

Baguio City is the City of Pines, indeed! Well, at least it used to when I was going to SLU back when. I hope it still is. I love this city. My parents used to bring us to this city every summer when we were kids up until we were ready to go to college. It is practically my second home. Those photos you featured remind me of my college days, especially downtown Baguio. However, you have not shown the many spectacular sceneries. Next time, make sure you visit them. Thanks for the pics. BTW, have you gone to Bontoc, Mt. Province? If ever you get to travel to the Phil again, do not miss it. It is a beautiful place. Plan to visit Sagada, too. You won't regret it.

I visited Baguio several times during my two year stay in the Philippines and I am in love with the city. I hope to visit again and convince my wife that we need to buy a vacation property there. I've never been anywhere so beautiful and although these photos are nice they don't do the city justice.

Baguio City is my second hometown, I grew and studied in this beautiful city, I graduated Bonifacito Elementary School for my Elementary education and Baguio Tech for High School and Baguio Colleges Foundation for my two years in College before I moved to Manila, Baguio City will remain in my heart and in my mind forever. I was lucky to be able to visit my Music teacher Mrs. B. Pimentel who now resides in Bakakeng, thanks for the hospitality extended to us also by Mrs. Mesina, and Tio Domeng Alviar

Hey Can someone tell me if they know a Suzi Mendoza who lives in Baguio City ?. Her family used to run ,and may still do, a Jeepney company back in 1975. She worked in the UK in around 1973 to 1975 at a Restaurant ,and also had some connection earlier with Tenby . Anyone who knows her please send me email. She must be about 60 years old now ,maybe a bit less ?. Thanks

Hi (Loida and Phil?), Thanks for the wonderful pictures! Ive been searching the web to research for information for our travel in the Phils. I got excited when I saw your pixs in Baguio, La Union, the provinces to the north. We are also planning to visit Baguio to Benguet's Rice Terrreces ot even to Vigan. But I have NO idea what road to take, hotels, how long is the travel time. PLEASE any info will help. Thank you advance cloming from a weary traveller.
